Project Overview-

Set design for an 8-episode web series for Netflix India.
Written and directed by Mr. Sri Rao, this script had multiple layers, directed by himself, Director Karishma Kohli, Director Manoj and Director Bijoy Nambiar.

Brief

The brief was to create -- design and build sets for locations as per the background and character graph for each character of the characters and the plot. The script involved multiple locations, having prominent importance in the story. The most prominent sets being the houses of the protagonists of the story and some other important spaces to establish the storyline.

Created such moldboards based on the script, character graphs and story.

Understanding each character is important as the fundamentals of building a space come from the tangible and/or intangible characteristics that each character portrays.

Ideation and Moodboarding

Referencing or Moodboarding is nothing but

creating a visual persona.

Includes identifying colours, textures, elements, themes, etc and all supporting visual aids to build a characteristic space for a certain look and feel are drawn out from this exercise.
